A massive ridge of high pressure to the east continues to drive a lack of active weather across much of Minnesota Thursday. Expect another day full of sunshine in the Twin Cities with highs back in the mid 70s nearly 20-degrees warmer than average.Despite a clear sky overnight, southerly winds keep lows mild in the mid 50s to start Friday.Winds gusts of up to 30 mph and cloud cover will pick up through the day, but the metro will stay dry with highs back in the mid 70s.Rain chances finally return Saturday afternoon with a cold front that will keep winds gusting near 30 mph. The showers should taper off Saturday night with amounts staying under a tenth of an inch.Ahead of the front, highs reach the 70s for the last day before dropping to the 50s Sunday.More widespread rain looks to arrive Sunday night into Monday, bringing more notable amounts. This will lock in the cooler air with highs staying closer to 50 and lows in the upper 30s to low 40s early next week.
